Inside Parts Sales Specialist – Focused on Customer Relationships
If you know how to look up technical parts and enjoy closing sales, this could be a strong next step.
At Zuma, the process is simple:
Find the right part. Quote it. Follow up. Invoice it. Receive payment. Earn commission. Move on to the next opportunity.
We sell equipment parts across Canada and the U.S. All orders are drop-shipped directly from suppliers. A large portion of our business is fulfilled from U.S. warehouses directly to U.S. customers, giving you access to the American market with minimal tariff or cross-border complications.
This is not a warehouse or order-fulfillment role. There is almost no picking, packing, receiving inventory or preparing shipping paperwork. Your focus is sales.
The Role
Approximately:
- 80% warm inbound sales
- 20% follow-up, customer reactivation and account development
Most customers contact us because they already need a part, often for a machine that is down.
You’ll identify what they need using parts diagrams and electronic catalogs, prepare the quote and ask for the order.
We’re looking for someone who's excited with every new lead that comes in, watches for customer replies and doesn’t let open quotes disappear. A quote isn’t a sale until the customer pays.
We’re an AI-Progressive Company
We believe salespeople should sell, not get caught up in adminatrative procedures.
Zuma is building AI-supported tools to automate the painful administrative side of sales. These tools will help capture customer communication, organize opportunities, surface urgent leads, remind you about open quotes and show you the next best action.
The technology helps you stay focused and respond faster. You still bring the parts knowledge, judgment, personality and ability to close.
We want someone excited to work with these tools and help shape how modern parts sales should operate.
What You’ll Do
- Answer inbound parts calls and emails
- Identify parts using diagrams, catalogs and schematics
- Prepare quotes quickly and accurately
- Follow up and ask for the order
- Invoice customers and receive payment
- Recommend related parts when they help complete the repair
- Reconnect with previous customers and develop accounts
- Recognize service and equipment-sales opportunities
What We’re Looking For
Previous parts lookup or technical parts sales experience is required.
Your background could be in automotive, heavy truck, agricultural equipment, forklifts, equipment rental, hydraulics, industrial machinery or another technical parts environment.
You do not need previous aerial-equipment experience. We can teach you our equipment, brands and supplier systems.
You do need to be:
- Mechanically inclined
- Comfortable selling by phone and email
- Fast and responsive
- Consistent with follow-up
- Willing to ask for the order
- Motivated by commission
- Comfortable learning new technology
Compensation and Growth
Expected total compensation is $65,000–$80,000+(no cap) per year, depending on experience and performance. Compensation includes a base salary plus commission.
Strong performers can grow into senior parts sales, key account management, equipment sales or sales leadership.
This is not a dead-end parts-counter position. If you can build relationships, close business and grow accounts, the sky is the limit.
This is a full time position at Zuma in Chilliwack, BC.
How to Apply
Send us your resume and a short note telling us:
- What type of parts experience you have
- Whether you have sold over the phone
If you match what this position needs, we're excited to hear from you! Qualified candidates will begin with a short phone conversation followed by an in-person interview.
