Shipping Policy
1. Shipping Method & Coverage
At Zuma Lift Service Inc., we deliver new and used boom lifts, scissor lifts, telehandlers, drop-deck trailers, and related equipment across Canada using LTL (Less Than Truckload) freight services. This ensures safe, efficient, and cost-effective delivery—whether you're in a remote worksite or a major city.
2. Shipping Quotes & Payment
Shipping rates are calculated on a case-by-case basis, reflecting:
- Customer's delivery location
- Size and weight of equipment
- Urgency of delivery
You will receive an individualized freight quote from our team before confirming your order. Full payment, including shipping and applicable Canadian taxes, must be completed prior to release and dispatch of the equipment.
3. Unloading & Site Readiness
Customers are responsible for:
- Providing a safe, accessible unloading area
- Arranging any necessary equipment (such as a forklift or crane)
We are happy to assist with guidance or referrals—but costs related to unloading remain the customer's responsibility.
4. Delivery Coordination & Presence Required
Once your order is confirmed:
- We will provide an estimated delivery timeline, based on regional logistics and carrier availability
- Our shipping partners will have your site contact's phone number to coordinate arrival
- You or an authorized representative must be present at delivery, sign the Bill of Lading, and oversee offloading
5. Inspection & Damage Claims
At the time of delivery:
- Inspect the equipment carefully
- If you notice any damage, take photos and mark the damage on the Bill of Lading
- Not doing so may jeopardize insurance or warranty claims
Zuma Lift Service Inc. will assist with filing and managing damage claims promptly.
6. Warranty & Arrival Inspection
Most equipment arrives with our limited arrival warranty, giving you a short window (typically 48 hours) to test and verify performance. Any issues noted within this timeframe are covered under the warranty terms outlined in your purchase documentation.
7. Canadian Taxes, Duties & Compliance
You are responsible for all applicable Canadian taxes and fees, including sales tax, use tax, excise tax, or import duties. If Zuma Lift Service Inc. incurs these on your behalf, you agree to reimburse us in full.
Buyers must also comply with all relevant Canadian export control laws and sanctions, including restrictions on dealing with embargoed regions or parties.
8. Liability & Legal Terms
Failure to enforce any part of this policy does not constitute a waiver of our rights under it. If any provision is deemed invalid, the remainder remains enforceable. Full legal details are covered under our Terms & Conditions.
